As valued supporters of the athletes of Special Olympics Chicago we are honored to invite you to join us at this year’s Spring Games Opening Ceremonies on Friday April 28th at 10am in Soldier Field. The parade of athletes will take place immediately at 10am. We welcome you and your guests to join us as we toast the success of our athletes this past year and look forward to the coming season. Free parking will be available at Waldron Parking Garage.
The first ever Special Olympics games were held right here in Chicago at Soldier Field on July 20th 1968. We hope you can join us for this incredible opportunity to return to the site of what has been called the City of Chicago’s greatest export, a community of inclusion and acceptance for all those living with special needs. If you are able to attend please reply with you and your guests names. Please feel free to invite anyone you would like to join!
Special Olympics Chicago would not exist today without the time, energy, dedication and commitment of hundreds of volunteers throughout the city. Special Olympics relies on its dedicated volunteers.
