Chicago Polar Plunge

Our thanks to the 3,200 spirited people who braved the the cold temperature and took a refreshing dip into Lake Michigan to raise funds and awareness for the athletes of Special Olympics Chicago!

A special thanks to Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Jimmy Fallon,  the cast of Chicago Fire, cast of Chicago PD and the other special guests that helped to shine a national spotlight on our event.

Thanks to our generous donors we have reached our goal of $1,000,000 to support the year-round programs enjoyed by our athletes! Thank you for helping us build a community of acceptance and inclusion for all!

Whether you go knee high, waist high or take the full Plunge, all are invited to join in the fun at the 15th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge on Sunday, March 1 at North Avenue Beach.  Registration will open in November so stay connected for more details!
