Introductory Community Event

Special Olympics Chicago is introducing new introductory Special Olympic sessions throughout Chicago! These free classes are for anyone with intellectual\cognitive disabilities and their family or caregivers who would be interested in getting involved in competition with Special Olympics. With on focus on athletics, our goal is to introduce anyone who is has an interest in joining our inclusive community and enriching their lives through sports, competition, friendship and fun!
Special Olympics Chicago will be hosting a community wide based event in Armour Square Park on March 28 from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM! This free event is for anyone with intellectual\cognitive disabilities who would be interested in getting involved in competitions with Special Olympics, as well as their friends and families. We will be showing how seasonal sport practices are run with examples in basketball, showshoes and volleyball. There will also be snacks, fun and games!
