I joined Special Olympics in college and have loved being involved with the organization ever since! As a student athlete in college, I was highly involved in helping at Special Olympic events. Whether I was helping teach golf at the NCAA championships, volunteering at a weekend SO basketball tournament, plunging with our entire athletic organization or spontaneously running a putting contest at the college gym, some of my favorite college memories are around Special Olympics events. Because Special Olympics was a huge part of my collegiate athletic experience, I knew I had to stay involved with the Special Olympics organization after moving to Chicago. The Associate Board allows me to continue to volunteer with this amazing organization. Special Olympics truly brings out the best that EVERY person has to offer and I am so excited to see how Special Olympics will continue to impact the lives of so many people for many years to come.
