The polar bear has been the mascot for the Chicago Polar Plunge for past decade. You may have seen them at the Plunge, on our shirts, or even around town taking photos and giving high fives! As we prepare for our #20thAnniBRRsary on March 1, we think it’s a good time to finally give the bear a name, so we’re holding a contest to #NameTheChiPolarBear
The individual whose submission is chosen will be awarded a commemorative t-shirt, a $100 Amazon gift card, and have a VIP – “Very Important Plunger” – experience at the 2020 Chicago Plunge presented by Jackson, with access to the VIP area with private changing rooms and bathrooms. They will also officially kick-off the start of the Plunge by leading the Shannon Rovers into the icy waters of Lake Michigan!
The 2020 Chicago Polar Plunge presented by Jackson will take place on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at North Avenue Beach. Registration is now open!
